WELCOME to the official website of the Washington County Department of Job and Family Services. As you browse our site you will find information on the services we offer. As you can see we provide services from food assistance to Medicaid, from child care to Adult Protective Services and services in between. For three years our award winning staff have maintained 100% accuracy in public assistance programs. You will see from our annual report, the Washington County DJFS is responsible for ninety-four million dollars being placed in the local economy. We issued over a million dollars in local grants and helped over 2,500 eligible children obtain needed winter clothing. We funded a Youth Employment Program that saw 85 youth employed during the summer and we bought and gave away 200 infant and child car seats to eligible families. As you can see Washington County DJFS employees are very involved in our community and influence a lot of lives. As you browse the site please let us know what you think.
